Ya Liu for Cary Town Council
District D

I am a faculty member at Duke Law School, teaching Research Methods in Law. I’m also an attorney with focus on real estate law and corporate law. I earned a Ph.D. in sociology from North Carolina State University and received my J.D. degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law while working full-time at Duke University. My academic work focuses on issues of aging, caregiving, public health, judicial behavior, and government agency rulemaking.

I am the proud mother of three beautiful young children. I will listen to my constituents and be the voice for the people on the Cary Town Council. I bring in fresh ideas, analytical skills, quantitative background, and diverse perspectives and will work hard to make Cary an even better place for us all. Read more...
